This comes barely a week after three suspects linked to a burglary where valuable items including Ksh3, 167, 115 were stolen from a house in Westlands about a month ago have been arrested.

On Monday, October 21, DCI said the three, namely Lenah Khamatioli, Ian Kavaya, and Peninah Mutola were arrested in their hideout in Kawangware.

The three broke into the house on September 24, 2024, and made away with the money alongside two phones and several pieces of jewellery, DCI said.

"In the incident which took place on September 24, the house owner (a South Sudanese national) arrived at her home located along Rahpta Road Westlands to find her house girl missing, and along with her USD 24,500, an iPhone 15, a Samsung Z Flip and several pieces of jewellery. She reported the theft at DCI Kilimani offices where investigations were launched," DCI said in a statement.

DCI said following weeks of forensic trial, detectives from Kilimani were able to pounce on the suspects and seized items believed to be proceeds of crime.

DCI mentioned that the items they took into their possession include a range of brand new items including a Boxer motorcycle (Reg No. KMGN 840N), a 55-inch Vitron TV and a Hanmac microwave.

The detectives also seized an HP laptop, an NNix cooker oven, a 6kg Pro gas cylinder, a five-sitter sofa, a mattress, two watches and three brand-new Samsung A50 phones.
