The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has clarified that the lost title deed belongs to a parcel of land in Kileleshwa.
In a statement dated Wednesday, July 2, the examination council noted that many had speculated that the affected land was their headquarters in South C.
Others had also speculated that the land was located in Dennis Pritt, around the Kilimani area in Nairobi.
Meanwhile, KNEC stated that the Ministry of Land could not issue them with another title until it exhausted all channels to recover the title deed.

"This title is neither for KNEC headquarters in South C nor for the Dennis Pritt land. It is an old case for a piece of land in Kileleshwa," read the statement in part.
"The Ministry of Lands advised that they cannot replace the title without exhausting all avenues of search and recovery, including this gazette notice."
On Tuesday, KNEC called on Kenyans with information about the missing title deed to reach out to them.
"The public is hereby notified that the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has lost the grant title for its plot LR. No. 209/6900.
"Anybody who may have come across this document is requested to drop it at the KNEC offices in South C, off Mombasa Road in Nairobi or at the nearest police station," read the notice in part.
In recent years, various government offices have been reported to be missing title deeds.
Among the affected institutions are Nyayo House and Harambee House (which also hosts the office of the President).
