Police are intensifying their investigations to establish the criminal background of Hashim Dagane, who is accused of killing a mother, daughter and niece from Eastleigh.

According to a DCI officer who appeared in Parliament on Thursday, November 7, the suspect is believed to have committed murders here in Kenya and Ethiopia.

The DCI officer informed MPs that they had reports that the suspect came from Ethiopia where he was married to three wives.

In a shocking twist of events, the officer revealed that Dagane may have killed one of his wives in Ethiopia. Investigations are ongoing to establish the reports.

"He is a Somali of Ethiopian origin. He had a family in Ethiopia and we understand that he had three wives and in Ethiopia, he killed one of his wives," the officer revealed.

"It is unconfirmed but we shall confirm that. We are still following."

Here in Kenya, the suspect has already been linked to four deaths.

Apart from the Eastleigh 3, the suspect is being linked to the killing of Deka Abdinoor Gorone which is reported to have occurred at an apartment in Lavington.

According to the police, Dugane killed the woman and disposed of the mutilated body at the Langata Cemetery alongside food items she had bought at a supermarket days earlier.

"Detectives have established that the lady was in the company of Hashim Dagane, who was residing in the said apartment where the duo spent time before Dagane was on 31/10/2024 captured leaving the apartment carrying two bags suspected to have contained the remains of the victim that were later in the day discovered at Langata cemetery," DCI's report read in part.
