West Pokot County Government has initiated a mass recruitment exercise for various positions within its health department.

In a notice issued on Thursday, November 7, the West Pokot County Public Service Board announced vacancies for over 200 positions in the country.

Some of the positions that attracted over 10 available slots for each post include medical officers, clinical officers, public health technologists, community health nurses and radiographer technologists.

The county government is also seeking to recruit 10 pharmaceutical technologists and 10 community health assistants.

Other notable positions listed were dental technologists, office administrative assistants, ICT officers, accountants and hospital cateresses.

"Pursuant to the provision of County Government Act, No. 17 of 2012 section 45, 59 (1) (b) the West Pokot County Public Service Board wishes to consider applications from highly qualified results-oriented and self-motivated Kenyan citizens for appointments," read the notice in part.

Contracts will be three years and can be renewed based on performance.

"Applicants should submit their applications together with copies of their detailed Curriculum Vitae, Academic and Professional Certificates, Testimonials, National Identity card or Passport, and Clearance certificates indicating the position applied for on top of the envelope," applicants were directed.

"The envelopes and applications should be addressed to the Secretary/CEO of County Public Service Board, P.O Box 577–30600 Kapenguria."
