The royal drummers of Burundi wowed Kenyans at the 58th Madaraka Day Celebrations held at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Kisumu on June 1, 2021.
They had accompanied Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye and First Lady Angeline Ndayishimiye to the historic celebrations at the Lakeside city.
An energetic performance from the drummers left President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto along with Kenyans in the venue amazed.
They posted an epic entrance, carrying huge drums on their heads, as they rhythmically pounded on them with drum sticks.
Their lead, with a spear in hand, performed acrobatic stunts as the rest got into position.
The unique dance and the energy put into delivering the performance, who took to social media to commend the drummers for the exotic presentation.
Their marvelous presentation topped off a series of amazing performances from various musicians from across the country, the Kenya Defence Forces, and the State House Choir.
