The family of Radio Jambo presenter John Toldo Kuria has appealed for financial aid to cover his medical expenses.
According to reports, the sports presenter is scheduled to undergo a kidney transplant in Turkey.
A notice shared on social media on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, revealed that Kuria's family seeks to raise Ksh4.3 million.
"Mzee Toldo, our son, father, brother, and friend was recently diagnosed with kidney failure and requires an urgent kidney transplant. This will be undertaken in Turkey and the total cost of the operation is Ksh4.3 million.

"We therefore kindly appeal for your financial support to help the family raise the required funds to quickly enable him to undergo the treatment," his medical appeal read in part.
His colleague at Radio Africa, Fred Arocho, stated that Kuria had been unwell for some time now and required specialised treatment.
"My brother and colleague at Radio Jambo, Toldo Kuria (Mzee Toldo), has been unwell for some time," Arocho confirmed.
He was seconded by renowned sports guru and NTV presenter Carol Radull who urged members of the public to come to Kuria's aid.
"My good friend and football commentator Toldo Kuria is unwell and in dire need of your prayers and financial support. Any amount will be appreciated," Radull wrote.
