A Nakuru court has cleared Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi from a case where he is accused of abusing President Uhuru Kenyatta's mother Ngina Kenyatta.
The court ruled that the MP has no case to answer leading to an end to the tussle that had taken months in the corridors of Justice.
The MP was dramatically arrested by several security officers at his Kapseret home last year after he made what seemed to be disparaging remarks on the President's mother.
Speaking after being acquitted, the MP was full of gratitude to the Judiciary for exercising independence and granting him justice.

"What I want to say is that the good thing with Kenya's Judiciary nowadays is that we have independence and justice," he said.
According to the MP, his remarks were misconstrued to be a criminal offence yet he was addressing a societal issue.
"When I was making the statement that was deemed as abuse, I talked about my mother. But because my mother is poor they saw it wise to arrest me. But the court has given me justice," he said.
He brought to the fore an incident where Cotu boss Francis Atwoli allegedly made remarks that were perceived to be an attack at deputy president William Ruto's mother.
He raised concerns why the Cotu boss was not arrested for undermining the DP's mother yet he was pushed upside down for talking about Uhuru's mother.
