A bizzare incident in Kisii County has left locals in the area stunned after a body of a woman was dumped a few spits from the Kisii Police Station.

A police report seen by Citizen TV indicated that the body, which was naked, had deep cuts around the neck region and in the private parts.

The woman is alleged to have been raped before being killed. The body was moved to the Kisii Teaching and Referral awaiting a postmortem examination.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident. This comes even as Kisii activists decried killings in the area with women being attacked.

Last year in July, an elderly woman was strangled in her house in Kisii. Reports indicated that Agnes Moraa, 65, was killed by a hired assassin who hacked her to death before torching her house.

Her family called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to probe the matter and insisted that they wouldn’t bury the remains of their kin until her killers were brought to book.
