Soy MP Caleb Kositany has revealed that he is ready to honor the summons issued to him by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Addressing the press on Sunday morning in Eldoret, the Ruto allied MP Kositany insisted on his innocence, saying he will be heading to Nakuru alongside Oscar Sudi of Kapseret as directed by the DCI.
However, Kositany faulted the DCI, saying they relied on Junet Mohamed's speculations to arrive at their summons.
"There is a super investigator called Junet Mohamed who investigated, have the evidence, names of perpetrators because he implicated me and Governor Mandago hardly 10 minutes after the incident when I was not even aware of the incident...I am even shocked that Junet could tell such lies during this ho

He went ahead to narrate what happened when he met with Raila and his allies ta Mzee Kibor's home. According to Kositany, Raila arrived at the function at about 5:30 pm when they were carrying the body to the graveside.
He said they then invited Raila to Kibor's house where they sat and had some charts before they (Kositany and Caleb) were called at different intervals to go and lay flowers on the grave.
At the same time, Kositany said he took on Junet, asking him why he had lied that Ruto wanted to use Raila to impeach Uhuru, when Raila had actually disowned the allegations.
"I sat between Junet and Babu and I even went ahead to tell Junet that you are such a liar. I told him the president told a lie of Ruto wanting to impeach him. Raila Odinga denied that he didn't know about it but you went ahead to a story that covered four pages in the media that there were plans to impeach Uhuru. Junet told me this is politics and sometimes, there should be lies to survive" narrated Kositany
The Soy MP accused a section of politicians of allegedly ferrying youths to the burial to heckle some aspirants and cause chaos
He said police have been given names of people who ferried rowdy youths to the funeral but have since ignored the reports and gone after him and Sudi because they are considered to be close to DP William Ruto.
"We are ready to face them and liberate ourselves from these accusations. Everybody knows my style of politics and I have always been preaching peace. We call on Kenyans to be patient and maintain peace. The true liberation of Kenya is on the 9th of August. We are heading to Nakuru to go and listen to that nonsense and we are ready for them because we are very innocent" he added.
DCI named Soy MP Caleb Kositany, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, and Uasin Ngishu county speaker David Kiplagat as the main planners and funders of the violence meted on the ODM leader.
The three were summoned to appear in person before the Rift Valley DCI Regional coordinator on April 3 at 9 am for further investigations.
