Renowned lawyer Nelson Havi has hit back after Interior CS Fred Matiang’i detailed what exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna needed to be allowed back in the country.
In a tweet on Monday, Havi termed Matiang’i remarks as foolish saying that they were determined to mislead and misinform Kenyans.
Havi noted that the High Court had determined that Miguna never lost his Kenyan citizenship and wondered why he would apply to regain what he never lost.
“Forget the tomfoolery by Dr Fred Matiang’i propagated by journalists and Media Houses determined to misinform and mislead Kenyans.
“The High Court determined that Dr Miguna Miguna never lost his Kenyan citizenship. How do you apply to regain what you never lost in the first place?” Havi tweeted.

Matiang’i on Sunday said that Miguna needed to fill a one page document as prescribed in the constitution to regain his Kenyan citizenship.
The CS said that the exiled lawyer lost his Kenyan Citizenship because the old constitution did not allow dual Citizenship.
"You have to regain your citizenship if you lost it. It means you have to fill a piece of paper so that you get your Kenyan passport or Citizenship as it were,” Matiang’i said in an interview with NTV.
