Veteran Journalist Joe Kadhi has died.
Kadhi, who was also a media trainer passed on last night and will be buried today in accordance to Islamic rites.
Kadhi had an illustrious career and rich legacy in the Kenyan media.
He worked for Nation Media Group as managing editor for Daily Nation.

He was also a scholar and taught journalism at the University of Nairobi, Addis Ababa University and the United States International University (USIU).
Royal Media Services editorial director Linus Kaikai while mourning Kadhi's demise said that the media industry had lost a pioneer of the golden generation and mentor.
"SAD day; veteran journalist JOE KADHI has passed on. We have lost a mentor, professional guardian, legendary trainer and a pioneer of the golden generation," he said
Victor Bwire, the Director of Media Training and Development at the Media Council of Kenya mourned the veteran journalist. "Mzee Said Joe Kadhi.....I thank God for granting me the opportunity to learn, work, stay interact and enjoy your generosity and humility...Thanks mwalimu and Rest in Peace... The lessons, life skills, case studies, books, trips, training sessions, mentorship and nyama choma sessions.... Great researcher and writer....we tried to get the universities you had associated with to consider a Honorary Doctorate was never honoured...The 13 chapters you had written for a publication of journalism ethics in Kenya will be published...that's the least I can do for you mwalimu."
