Deputy President William Ruto has restated the readiness on the side of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance to participate in the Tuesday General Election.
Ruto spoke in reference to a recent High Court ruling in which the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) was ordered to complement its electronic voters roll with the manual register.
"We are ready for this election, with or without a manual register. Whatever the register; whether manual, handwritten, typed, or digital, we are ready," said Ruto.
The deputy president was addressing a presser on Saturday, August 6, at his official residence in Karen, Nairobi county.
He also called on his supporters across the country to be peaceful during and after the vote.

He said that the political faction he leads has committed itself to peace at the height of high octane politics, adding that the vow for a peaceful nation will not be done away with on the polling day.
Ruto asked his supporters to partake in the exercise peacefully and wait for the results.
"Kenya Kwanza is committed to a peaceful election. We will not contradict our vow to hold peace. We ask every supporter of Kenya Kwanza to conduct themselves, vote, and wait for the results peacefully," he said.
Ruto is making a first stab at the presidency alongside Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua as his running mate.
The Kenya Kwanza duo will be facing off with Raila Odinga and Martha Karua of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party.
Other hopefuls are George Wajackoyah of the Roots Party of Kenya and David Mwaure of the Agano Party.
