President Uhuru Kenyatta has taken the Covid-19 vaccine.
The Head of State was vaccinated at State House on March 26, 2021, in a bid to dispel fears of the vaccine-elicited by members of the public.
First Lady Margaret Kenyatta also received the AstraZeneca jab, along with cabinet secretaries.
The move by the Head of State will instill courage in Kenyans, to take the vaccine after several had raised concerns about the safety of the jab.
This comes after members of parliament asked President Kenyatta to take the vaccine in public and lead Kenyans by example.

State House Chief Of Staff Nzioka Waita had earlier today revealed that the Head of State had directed all Cabinet Secretaries to take the jab.
Waita took to Twitter to share an image of himself taking the jab.
"As the Government scales up the rollout of the national Covid-19Vaccine program, the President has directed his entire Cabinet and Executive Office to lead by example and get the jab!
"Received mine this morning under the watchful guidance of the Ministry of Health vaccination team,"Nzioka had tweeted.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe had revealed that 1.25 million Kenyans will receive the first batch of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Yesterday, March 25, he announced that persons aged above 58 will be prioritised in the vaccination process.
Politicians are not among the first batch of recipients.
