A Nairobi woman was Monday night raped by three men who disguised themselves as police officers.
The incident happened on a dark path from the Kiwanja area towards the Kahawa West area.
The woman was in the company of her boyfriend walking home after buying food when the three men attacked them.
They first introduced themselves as police officers and ordered them not to dare run away.
The three armed with machetes then ordered the two to lie down. They began gang-raping the lady as the boyfriend watched helplessly unable to do anything.

After the horrific act, the three men disappeared into the darkness.
The woman was rushed to the hospital in Juja where she was treated and discharged.
They also reported the matter to the police. A team of detectives has been assigned to hunt down the suspects.
Kiambu police boss Perminus Kioi said the officers are investigating the motive with an intention of getting the rapists.
Cases rape have been on the rise in the country.
For instance, rape cases increased to 973 in 2020 compared to 950 reported in 2019, 921 in 2018, 784 in 2017 and 923 in 2016.
Defilement cases increased to 6,801 in 2020 from 5,397 in 2019, 4,767 in 2018, 3,487 in 2017 and 4,512 in 2016.
