Otieno Lewis Omondi Glen alongside Fwaro Makokha Robinson were the top students in the 2022 KCPE results released on Wednesday by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu.
The two students both scored 431 marks out of 500 in the results.
Otieno was a student a St. Peters Mumias Boys Primary in Kakamega County. Following the stellar performance in KCPE, Governor Fernandes Barasa has announced that Kakamega County will sponsor Lewis through his secondary education.
The Governor also joined the school in celebrations as he commended both the teachers and students for their good work.

Barasa added," Good academic results are as a result of deliberate efforts from teachers, parents, learners, and the community."
A total of 1,244,188 candidates were registered for the examination in 2022 which was administered from November 28 to 30.
9,443 candidates scored above 400 marks in the 2022 KCPE results.
307, 756 students scored between 300 to 399 marks.
