Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Wahome accused police of harassment after they supposedly raided the home of Garissa Woman Representative Anab Subow Gure on Friday, December 18, 2020.
In a post shared on social media, Wahome castigated the police over the incident adding that the move was unwarranted since Subow is a nursing mother.
"DCI, Kibicho, IG or Is it Matiang’i. Hon Anab is a nursing mother. What is the emergency sending you to her house at night with over 20 police officers? Anab can’t breathe. Give us break lords of impunity," Wahome said.
"DCI or Kibicho or IG or Matiang’i whoever because it’s hard to tell who is in charge. Stop harassing Hon Anab by sending a Lorry load of police because of photo pose in a foreign embassy office. You can summon her to the DCI office on Monday," she added.

Subow explains
Subow said her security detail was withdrawn on conditions she termed as unclear.
"Even if you withdraw my security, I have Allah The Almighty to protect me against any harm," Anab stated in a message posted online.
"I cannot be intimidated nor coerced by anybody. I am available and can be summoned at any time of the week but not intimidation and arm-twisting. We’re not in a police state. Kenya is a sovereign country," she added.
The alleged raid comes after a photo shared online showed the MP posing in front of a portrait of Somalia President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and the Somali flag.
