Former NTV Journalist Salim Swaleh has been appointed the Director of Communications in the office of Prime Cabinet Secretary.
Swaleh who had resigned to take up a role in the Nakuru County government will now be in charge of communications in the office of prime CS.
Prior to joining Nakuru county, he was the Swahili managing editor at NTV.
Governor Susan Kihika had named him the ICT, e-Government, and public communication Chief Officer.
The veteran news anchor, who initially worked with Citizen TV, joined NTV in 2018.

Swaleh was born and bred in Nakuru’s Bondeni informal settlement area.
He is one of the many journalists who have landed plum roles in the government. Former NTV political reporter Kennedy Muriithi was recently appointed the political advisor in the office of Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki.
Nation Photographer Jeff Angote also quit the media house to join the office of the Deputy President.
