President William Ruto now says the country must tackle alcoholism.
Speaking on Thursday, January 19, the Head of State noted that many lives were being lost and destroyed as a result of alcohol abuse.
The President suggested that it was time alcohol was sold to designated areas only.
“National and County Governments must work together to confront this [serious] problem," President Ruto stated.

The President spoke during the laying of the foundation stone of the Ruiru Affordable Housing Project, Kings Boma Estate in Kiambu County.
"Our strategic focus is on expanding access to quality dwelling places at affordable cost in the country. This transformative Plan also presents opportunities for employment and wealth creation to millions of Kenyans struggling to put food on the table," he said.
