Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Wednesday, January 25, received a donation of Ksh124, 350, 000 from The Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
In an update via his Twitter, Gachagua noted that the donation would go to Arid and Semi-Arid Land (ASAL) counties affected by the drought.
"Today, I received food donation worth USD 1 Million from The Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints who had paid me a courtesy call at Harambee House, Annex Nairobi.
"Today, I received food donation worth USD 1 Million from The Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints who had paid me a courtesy call at Harambee House, Annex Nairobi. This donation will benefit 40,000 households, an equivalent of 200,000 people," Gachagua tweeted.
