Gor Mahia Football Club has requested Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga to reschedule his planned consultative meeting on Sunday 29 January 2023.
In a letter seen by Nairobi Leo, the club stated that the consultative meeting collides with its Mashemeji derby clash against AFC Leopards.
Gor Mahia asked the former Prime Minister to either reschedule the rally or have it earlier to enable supporters have time to make their way to Nyayo Stadium.
“We the Kogalo fraternity are aware that you have planned a consultative meeting with Wananchi Cum Demo on Sunday 29th January, 2023. As our dear Patron, we wish to remind you of our Mashemeji Derby Clash with AFC Leopards at 3 p.m. - Nyayo Stadium; the same day that you will be holding consultative meeting cum demo.
“We also appeal to you to consider either rescheduling the demo or having it and in good time to enable the supporters of both Clubs make their way to the stadium in time for the derby,” the letter read in part.
