Narok senator Ledama Olekina has urged the embattled Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni to stay put in the face of rebellion by a section of party members.
The lawmaker referenced the instance in which National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula was ousted from the Ford Kenya party as its chairman in early 2022.
He said that despite the humiliation, Wetangula ended up becoming the third-most powerful leader after the president and his deputy.
He thus suggested Kioni could be getting prepared for something big in the coming days.
"I love Kenya. Early last year, Moses Wetangula was suspended from Ford Kenya and a new chairman was installed by a section of rebel members, Weta laughed last! today rebel jubilee members have suspended my friend Kioni let’s see who will have the last laugh in Jubilee," tweeted Ledama.

I love Kenya …..early last year @HonWetangula was suspended from Ford Kenya and a new chairman was installed by a section of rebel members, Weta laughed last! today rebel jubilee members have suspended my friend @HonKioni let’s see who will have the last laugh in Jubilee!
Kioni had earlier broken his silence after he was removed from his role as the Jubilee Party Secretary General.
Speaking on Friday during the Azimio la Umoja rally in Machakos, the former Ndaragwa MP stated that he is still the Jubilee Party Secretary General and would remain steadfast in the Azimio la Umoja together with former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Wale amabo wamelipwa state house watuondokee waende watuache,” Kioni said.
At the same time, he revealed that he has received petitions to take disciplinary actions against EALA MP Kanini Kega, Nominated MP Sabina Chege, Isiolo Women Rep Fatumo Dullo and Eldas MP Adan Keynan.
“SG Hon. Jeremiah Kioni has received petitions to commence disciplinary action against Hon. Kanini Kega, Hon. Sabina Chege, Hon. Fatuma Dullo and Hon. Adan Keynan. The same have been forwarded to the JP Disciplinary Committee for action,” the Jubilee party tweeted.
