Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday, February 11 held his first joint rally with Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga in Vihiga and Kisumu counties.
Uhuru reiterated his support for the former Prime Minister and vowed to follow his directions when asked to.
“Kustaafu sio kuchoka, hata wengine wakistaafu ndio nguvu inaongezeka. Na mimi hata kama nimewacha siasa active mimi bado ni mfuasi wa baba, sasa akiniambie twende, lazima twende.
"Na ndipo mimi nasema mimi nilimuunga mkono wakati huo na bado nitaeendelea kumuunga mkono kwa sababu mimi naamini yeye ni mtu wa ukweli, anataka kuwaunganisha wakenya na anataka amani katika taifa letu la Kenya na ni haki yangu kussuport yule mtu mimi nataka,” said Uhuru.

The former Head of State noted that he was not looking for any political seat but would support Raila Odinga if he runs for the presidency again.
“Mimi hakuna kiti natafuta lakini baba akitafuta mimi sina shida, mimi niko hapo,” Uhuru stated.
He further stated that he would be glad if the cost of living is solved and other challenges facing Kenyans addressed.
“Kila kitu mi najua, uongozi wa kupiganisha hautaweza kumaliza njaa. Sisi tuko pamoja ombi letu ni Umoja wa wakenya. Ombi letu ni zile shida wakenya wako nazi zitatuliwe ombi langu ni vijana wetu wale walikua wanafikiria watapata kazi wapate kazi,” he added.
