Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has broken his silence on the alleged raid of the police at Formr CS Fred Matiang'i's Karen Home in Nairobi.
Speaking during the interdenominational prayers in Nakuru on Sunday, the DP said many of those who oppressed others in the former regime are having sleepless nights because of their deeds.
Without mentioning names, Gachagua, in what was clearly seen as an attack towards Matiang'i. said the former CS is afraid of seeing cops because of what he did during his era.
"Usijali hawa watu wanajifanya wameshikwa. It is a very simple thing. These people are having hallucinations and nightmares. They cannot sleep. Kwa sababu walitumia askari kuumiza watu. Sasa yeye akiona askari anakua na nightmare," he said.

Gachagua further divulged that President William Ruto called Matiang'i and former PS Karanja Kibicho for a meeting during which he prayed for them.
"Wachana na hawa. Huyu rais wetu aliita hawa wawili walikua Harambee house akawaombea, why are they still having nightmares? Why are they not sleeping?" the DP posed.
According to Gachagua, what is causing the former interior CS sleepless nights are prayers of the people they victimised.
"Unajua maombi ya wajane, watoto mayatima, wale waliuwawa katika Yala river, wale walipelekwa abadares, wale walipigwa risasi wakiwa na polisi wakiwasimamia: That is what is haunting them. They cannot sleep," he stated.
The remarks come after the former CS last week claimed police had laid siege at the former CS' home.
The government however has denied such as thing and even dared the former CS to produce any image or video of police raiding his home.
