Kenyans Finally Unveil Nickname For Gachagua's Wife Pastor Dorcas

She asked for it, she has been given. 

The Spouse of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua finally has a nickname.

Kenyans on Twitter on Wednesday trended a hashtag giving pastor Dorcas Rigathi a moniker she so asked. 

Now referred to as "Rigathress", the name is a combination of the name Rigathi and a prefix "ress".

Her new name drew mixed reactions on Twitter as Kenyans weighed in on the tag.

On March 2, Pastor Dorcas noted that while her husband is widely known as Riggy G, she is yet to find her nickname.

“Nowadays my husband is called Riggy G, I am still waiting for my name,” she said.

She was speaking at the University of Nairobi while attending a boychild's event.

DP Gachagua was nicknamed Riggy G by Ivy Chelimo in a tweet, a name that he warmly embraced. 

"Riggy G is melodious," he said at a primary school music festival last year. 

Gachagua would later meet Ivy and give her a job at his office.

The name Riggy G came after he fumbled a bit while taking an oath of office as Deputy President of Kenya during the swearing-in ceremony. 

The name has been widely used by even top government officers while referring g to him.
