Another learner is reported to have died in the hands of a teacher who was administering punishment on them.
Reports indicate that the youngster who schools at Namanjala Primary in Trans Nzoia County collapsed and died following the punishment.
Parents took to the street to protest the sad incident which is believed to have occurred on Friday, March 10.
The identity of the teacher nor the deceased pupil was yet to be revealed by the time of press.

16-year-old Kelvin Kiptanui was allegedly beaten by his teachers over allegations of cheating in physics examinations.
A student of Chemase Secondary school in Tindiret, Nandi County, Kelvin died at Nandi Level IV Hospital hours after being admitted while in critical condition.
He was said to have undergone brutal corporal punishment.
The student reportedly made reference to a Physics textbook during an afternoon noon exam, a few weeks after joining the school.
Tindiret sub county police commander Ali Jire confirmed the incident, saying the matter was reported by the mother on Sunday adding that the matter is now in the hands of the area DCI boss.
