Images of Former interior CS Fred Matiang'i with first Lady Mama Rachel Ruto have been going viral on social media.
A section of Kenyans shared the images accompanied them with allegations that the former CS has now joined the government.
Nairobi Leo has however learnt that the images are old.
The pictures were taken on October 22, 2019, when the former CS visited the Cross stitch International Exhibition at the Michael Joseph centre.

It is there that the Former CS met Mama Rachel and interacted.
"We would like to thank our CS DR. Fred Matiang'i Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Security in Kenya for the great support and for visiting the Cross stitch International Exhibition at the Michael Joseph centre this morning," Rachel tweeted then.
