Former Baringo senator Gideon Moi has addressed the current demos being spearheaded by ODM leader Raila Odinga.
In the statement via Facebook on Wednesday, March 29, Moi noted that as individuals exercised their democratic right to picket, they must denounce the destruction of private property.
"As we exercise the right to picket under Article 37, we must all be emphatic in denouncing the destruction of private property in any part of this country, be it a stall, shop, supermarket, or even farm," Moi stated.
The former senator also warned that different political inclinations should not degenerate into religious animosity.
"We must come to a common understanding as a nation that our different political inclinations should not degenerate into religious animosity as recently witnessed in parts of Kibra Constituency, Nairobi County.

"Our constitution acknowledges the supremacy of the Almighty God in the Preamble and the freedom of religion, thus reaffirming the importance of religious tolerance despite our beliefs," he stated.
Despite being on the Azimio team in the run-up to the August 2022 election, Moi has never joined the demos being led by Odinga and has been silent on the happenings in the country.
