Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna now says they have no issue with President William Ruto, his family, or property but what they have an issue with is the powers he is exercising as Head of State.
Speaking on Thursday, March 30, during an interview on Citizen TV, Sifuna noted that they want President Ruto to lower the cost of unga to Ksh70 as Kenya Kwanza had promised during campaigns.
The Nairobi Senator also said ODM leader Raila Odinga is not interested in a handshake with President Ruto.
"We have no issues with President Ruto, his property, or his family, however, we do have issues with the power he is exercising as president. We won't have an issue with him if he says he will bring back subsidies & unga prices down
"We want the government to lower the price of unga to Sh. 70 as they had promised Kenyans and return subsidies, not a handshake or reconciliation between President Ruto and Raila Odinga," Sifuna stated.

At the same, the Senator addressed the recent chaos that has been witnessed in the demos being led by Odinga.
Sifuna accused the police of triggering violence when they hurl teargas at the protestors.
"Azimio holds peaceful protests, it is the law enforcement officers who infuse violence into the demonstrations when they use tear gas," he stated.
Security has already been beefed up in Nairobi ahead of the Thursday demos by Odinga.
