Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has claimed that Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki is not an insider in the Kenya Kwanza Government.
Speaking on Thursday, April 13 during a civil society meeting at Ufungamano Hall in Nairobi, Kalonzo challenged Kindiki’s remarks that the police do not have shoot-to-kill orders.
He asked CS Kindiki to tell Kenyans why Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga’s vehicle was shot at if the police don’t have the orders to fire live bullets.
“Kithure Kindiki says the police did not have express orders to fire live bullets at demonstrations, something tells me he is not an insider, he doesn’t know. We want him to tell the country why a deliberate attempt was made on the life of Raila Odinga during demonstrations at Embakasi,” said Kalonzo.

While appearing before the National Assembly on Wednesday Kindiki stated that security officers are under clear instructions not to use live bullets during protests.
“There are no shoot-to-kill orders, on the contrary, all officers in the National Police Service and security agencies who are involved in managing demonstrations are under strict instructions not to use live bullets when dealing with the member of the public,” Kindiki remarked.
