The Azimio la Umoja bi-partisan team has suspended negotiations with Kenya Kwanza indefinitely over a stalemate on the inclusion of Adan Keynan and David Pkosing.
Speaking on Tuesday, April 25 in Nairobi, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo stated that there are three options to solve the stalemate.
“There are only three options, either Pkosing and Keynan choose to withdraw from this team, the second option is either party to withdraw objection and the third option is if our appointing authorities choose to withdraw any of those gentlemen on their own accord.
“Until then we have hit a stalemate and we have suspended these talks until such time as there might be consensus along the lines reached or the position changes,” said Amollo.

He wondered why the Kenya Kwanza team had objected to the involvement of Pkosing yet his party is yet to make an attempt to leave Azimio.
“On the objection of Pkosing’s inclusion, we have discussed and we have not had an issue of principle on Pkosing. Pkosing is a member of the Kenya Union Party (KUP), which signed a pre-election agreement with Azimio and remains part of Azimio. To date, there has not been any agreement or attempt to withdraw from Azimio. Pkosing is the deputy leader and has not made any indication to move,” he stated.
Amolo further stated that Keynan who had defected to the ruling Kenya Kwanza coalition still holds the position of the Azimio la Umoja coalition vice chair.
