The Canadian government has denied Foreign Affairs CS Alfred Mutua's remarks on the availability of jobs for Kenyans.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada termed it as false claim that there was a programme that will see Kenyans travel and work in Canada in the near future.
"Disinformation is circulating which suggests that special programs are welcoming Kenyan immigrants. This is false, and the immigration programs referenced do not exist. For accurate information on how to immigrate, visit http://Canada.ca/immigration," IRCC said on Tuesday.
Mutua on Tuesday said he held a discussion with the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada, and agreed on the various migration opportunity pathways for Kenyans to go and live or work in Canada.

"I was pleased to note that there are job opportunities within various economic sectors across Canada and Kenyans can travel to Canada as students, tourists, and as workers," Mutua said.
The CS said Canada has more employment opportunities than available people to work adding that Kenya had sealed a deal for Kenyans to fill the gap.
"The process for those who wish to go to Canada is simple but requires one to be diligent. We are in deep negotiations and we will be providing a comprehensive statement within the next few days with guidance and links agreed upon between the Kenyan and the Canadian Government so that Kenyans can apply for migration or job visas," Mutua said.
