Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has listed promises President William Ruto has fulfilled since coming to power in September 2022.
Speaking on Saturday, May 20 during the thanksgiving ceremony of Roads Principal Secretary Joseph Mbugua in Nyandarua County, Gachagua called out the media for turning a blind eye on President Ruto’s achievements.
“President William Ruto has been in office for eight months, he has achieved many things, more than 50 percent of the promises he made to the people of Kenya and he still has another four years and four months to keep all his promises to the people of Kenya,” said Gachagua.
He added,” Listen to the successes and the kept promises by the President so far in only eight months.”

9. He noted that the Hustler Fund program which was launched in November 2022 has lent more than Ksh 24 billion to Kenyans.
10. Gachagua underscored that the Head of State has revived all road projects that stalled during the past regime.
11. He noted that Ruto has managed to lower the price of maize flour from Ksh 230 to between Ksh 180 and Ksh 150.
12. Gachagua pointed out that Ruto has done public sector reforms to ensure government officials are not used for political activities.
13. The DP noted that the President does not use the criminal justice system to stop the political freedom of his critics.
14. Gachagua stated that the President is engaging Kenyans directly and has visited 39 out of 47 counties since coming to office.
15. He also stated that President Ruto supplied food to Kenyans in drought-stricken areas.
16. Gachagua further noted that the Ruto government has employed thirty-five thousand teachers.
