ODM leader Raila Odinga has launched a fresh onslaught against President William Ruto over a series of promises he pledged to fulfil within a week but failed.
In a new approach of poking a hole into Ruto's style of running the government, Raila has branded the President as "Mr Next Week" in an apparent criticism of the numerous pledges he vowed to deliver within a week.
In a Tweet on Monday, June 19 dubbed Mr Next Week, Raila shared a video bringing together numerous speeches and media reports mentioning the pledges Ruto vowed will be sorted in a week's time.
According to the video, Citizen TV reported that President William Ruto pledged to reduce the cost of living within a week.
Another report by KBC said that the president had pledged to reduce the cost of maize flour "next week".

"Na hiyo niliwatangazia ya Kwamba, kufikia mwisho wa wiki hii.... By this week tukienda mbele mtaona bei tofauti tofauti hii," Ruto said in the video that brings together his speech at different functions in the past.
This is not the first time Raila is giving Ruto a moniker because of the timelines he gives to fulfill a promise but ends up failing.
Ahead of the 2022 General Elections, Raila branded Ruto as "Mr Six Months" in memory of the promises he made regarding the construction of stadiums across the country.
Ruto ahead of the 2017 General Elections where he was running as Former President Uhuru Kenyatta's deputy vowed to ensure the stadiums are completed in six months.
