Police are investigating a shocking incident in which a patient died by suicide at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
Daniel Mohamed apparently jumped from the fourth floor of the 4 C ward at KNH after his body was found on the ground floor.
Mohamed had been admitted to the facility on June 14.
Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei confirmed the incident.
He said they were called and briefed that a patient had died after jumping from a building at KNH.

“Investigations are in progress to know what happened and how,” he said.
He is said to be a victim of a mob-lynching incident in the Kiamaiko area, Huruma, Nairobi.
Mohamed was suspected to be a robber when he was attacked by an irate mob.
He was stoned and attacked with kicks and blows before the police came to his rescue and rushed him to Kenyatta National Hospital.
Those aware of the incident noted that the patient died on Monday, June 19 at 3 am.
KNH officials said they are cooperating with investigations to establish what happened and why.
The motive of the incident is yet to be established. Police are also probing the possibility of Mpohamed being pushed to death.
The body was moved to the KNH mortuary pending autopsy.
