Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi is of the opinion that the Azimio La Umoja coalition led by Raila Odinga is charging against President William Ruto on a perception that he is weak.
His comments come in the wake of Azimo's threat to hold countrywide protests on Wednesday as a show of opposition against what they termed as the High Cost of living among many other issues.
But according to Lawyer Ahmednasir, the push is not because of the issues they have listed.
"This rebellion isn't propelled by great and progressive ideas and agendas that will take Kenya forward. This rebellion is fuelled by a feeling that H.E. Ruto is 'a toothless bulldog'," he tweeted.

Azimio has announced the return of demos after the collapse of bipartisan talks that were to address the myriad of issues that took them to the streets.
The protest which began on July 7, on Saba Saba Day after the collapse of talks seeks to also collect signatures that will see President Ruto kicked out of office.
The Friday protests saw six people dead and several others injured among them, police officers.
Interior CS Kithure Kindiki on Sunday declared war on those planning to disrupt peaceful co-existence on Wednesday saying they will be dealt with according to the law.
The CS appeared to outlaw the protests on the grounds that people's properties have been destroyed because of the demos.
