Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has stated that the government does not fear arresting Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga and other opposition leaders over the destruction of property and loss of lives during the anti-government protests on Wednesday.
Speaking on Thursday, July 13 during the opening of the Kiserian Police Station in Kajiado County, CS Kindiki while not directly referring to Raila stated that the country has one constitution and there is no one above the law.
The Interior CS said that the government will not sit and watch opposition politicians plunge the country into a crisis.
“I have heard that people on social media are talking about many things, and they believe that because these demonstrations have progressed there is nothing the government can do about it. I have heard others say that so-and-so cannot be touched by the government. I want to say that there is one constitution in Kenya. There is no law for ordinary citizens and a law for the ministers.
“All those who have contributed to the destruction of property, incitement, and the transportation of thugs and terrorists to harm Kenyans, steal people's property, break into shops, burn cars, even to the point where citizens are forced to burn the Kenyan flag. We cannot accept our country being torn apart before our eyes. It does not matter which politician is involved,” said Kindiki.

The Interior CS on Wednesday in a statement fingered Raila for the massive destructions that happened in the country.
