Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju has addressed a move by some of its members to join the recently launched United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
Addressing journalists on Friday, Tuju said that the disciplinary council will decide the next cause of action and how best to handle the decision.
“Such matters are up to the disciplinary committee to look at whether there is any flouting of the Political Parties Act and the party’s constitution and take the necessary action where they deem necessary,” he said.
Tuju’s remarks were echoed by Jubilee chairman Nelson Dzuya who noted that the party is keenly watching the members who joined UDA party.
“We are following up on the matter, we will take action against them where we find culpability,” he responded.

Speaking on Friday, a section of leader allied to Deputy President William Ruto announced that they had moved over to the UDA party.
Led by Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, the leaders noted that Jubilee had locked them out hence the move to join UDA.
According to Murkomen, the party should not punish them as UDA is an affiliate member of the Jubilee coalition.
"We are already affiliated to UDA and we want to leave and find another place. Those asking us questions I also have a question for them, we know the campaigned for ODM which is a competing party, we have joined a party that is part of Jubilee," Murkomen said.
"If there is disciplinary action you should ask yourselves why you joined forced with ODM and start disciplinary action with that faction," he added.
