President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday responded to a letter by Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata warning him on the Building Bridges Initiative’s (BBI) popularity in Mount Kenya region.

Speaking during the burial of mother to ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, a visibly angry Uhuru noted that he is in control of the government and does not need lectures on how to run his administration.

He further noted that him being silent should not be misinterpreted to mean weakness.

President Kenyatta noted that he’s keen to leave a united Kenya and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal.

“Msione simba amenyeshewa mkadhani ni paka…There is a season for everything…we believe in democracy… I do not want anyone to lecture me. I know where I am and I am very clear about where I am going… No one will stop me in my quest to bring Kenyans together because that is the most important thing,” he said.

On the Hustlers vs Dynasties debate, President Kenyatta noted that some of the people claiming to be Hustlers and tired of being ruled by dynasties, got to where they are because of his support .

“Some of those who said they are tired (of dynasties) got to where they are because of my vote. They did not get a single vote.

Let us respect one another…if that is the rationale, then I can also say that there are only two tribes that have occupied the top seat, perhaps it is time for another community to lead,” he divulged.
