At a time when demolitions are ongoing on a section of East African Portland Cement Company (EAPCC) land, a new advert has been made announcing the sale of land by the said company.
In a Notice seen by Nairobi Leo, the EAPCC has announced the sale of LR NO. 8784/144, 145 and 653 in Mavoko.
The demolition of properties in Athi River is currently happening on LR NO. 10424.
"East African Portland Cement (EAPX PLC) wishes to notify members of the public of its offer to sell the above-referenced parcs of land via a regularization model," a notice seen by Nairobi Leo read in part.
EAPCC said that first and preferential priority shall be offered to people currently occupying sections of the said parts.

"Those in this kind of situation are advised to state their claim. Of the same within 14 days from the date of the notice," the Notice said.
EAPCC has warned those occupying their land that they will have to competitively seek the ownership of their property if they fail to ly a claim within the set period.
"At the expiry of this notice, all unclaimed portions shall be competitively offered to the general public on a willing buyer, willing seller basis," he said.
"A site office has been set up and an office for this purpose is also available within the EAPC PLC premises along the Namanga road."
The announcement for the sale of land has raised concerns considering that hundreds of people are counting losses after their properties were destroyed.
Some are questioning why those facing demolitions were not given such a treatment.
