The National Authority for Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) has appointed former National Social Security Fund NSSF boss Antony Omerikwa as the new CEO.
In a statement on Wednesday, November 1, the authority announced that Omerikwa has taken over from Professor John Muteti who has been the acting CEO.
"The Authority has this morning welcomed the new CEO Dr. Anthony Omerikwa who has officially taken over from the immediate Acting CEO Prof. John Muteti. The ceremony was presided over by the Board Chairman Mairori," read the statement in part.
NACADA at the same time noted that Muteti will revert back to his substantive position of Director, Policy and Planning at the Authority. Muteti had taken over the role in May 15, 2023 following Victor Okioma retirement after serving for a term of five years.

Omerikwa served as the NSSF boss for a period of seven years until November 2022 when his tenure came to an end.
He joined the trust 11 years ago and rose through the ranks to become a boss. When exiting, Omerikwa left behind NSSF with a net asset of Ksh295 billion.
