Former NASA strategist and economist David Ndii has revealed how President Uhuru Kenyatta convinced opposition leader Raila Odinga to join hands under the BBI.
In a series of tweets, Ndii stated that the handshake was a disguise to help Raila cement the fortunes of the Odinga dynasty.
At the same, Ndii claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta was returning a favor after retired President Daniel Moi plucked him as a means of safeguarding the interests of the Kenyatta dynasty.
“He [Moi] proceeded to drag Uhuru Kenyatta, an idler, from his drunken stupor and imposed him on KANU as his chosen successor. Raila was lured from the quest for electoral justice by the promise of restoration of the Odinga clan into the pantheon of ruling dynasties,” said Ndii.
Ndii was once an insider of Raila Odinga before falling out over the handshake deal. The economist is now a key crusader of the ‘hustler’ narrative.

He also explained how the dynasty narrative is sustainable considering the fortunes of President Uhuru Kenyatta over the past decade.
“Hustler-Dynasty class war is a war between genuine enterprise and predatory crony capitalist cartels. When Uhuru Kenyatta became Finance Minister just over a decade ago, we had a thriving competitive dairy industry with over 10 thriving competitors,” Ndii added.
However, President Uhuru maintains he has worked to be where he is and it has nothing to do with his father.
