The Social Health Authority (SHA) has released the full list of health facilities suspended for alleged fraudulent activities targeting the authority.

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has released the full list of health facilities suspended for alleged fraudulent activities targeting the authority. 

In a gazette notice issued by SHA Chief Executive Officer, Mercy Mwangangi, on Friday, August 8, the authority said the facilities will be denied access to any benefits from SHA throughout the suspension period.

"In exercise of the powers conferred by section 48 (6) of the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023, the Social Health Authority gives notice to the public of the suspension of the health facilities set out in the Schedule below.

"In accordance with the provisions of the Social Health Insurance Act, the health facilities set out in the Schedule shall not be entitled to any benefit from the Social Health Authority during the period of their suspension," the notice read.

Among the affected facilities are several in Homa Bay County, including Rachuonyo County Hospital, Kotiende Medical Centre, Nyatoto Health Centre, Queen Rivers Medical Centre, Archprime Medical Clinic Oyugis, and Torics Nursing Home. 

In Nairobi, the suspended facilities include Salama Yard Medical Centre, Vebeneza Medical Centre-Tassia, ABM Specialized Hospital, Imara Healthcare Centre, Dolma Medical Center, Lengo Medical, St. Johns Hospital Ltd, Edris Premier Hospital Limited, Bristol Park Hospital Fedha, and Selacare Health Services.

In Bungoma County, the suspended facilities are Nabulala Hospital, The Webuye Hospital Limited, Maxicare Sunrise Ltd Hospital, and Lifecare Hospitals Bungoma Ltd. 

In Kakamega County, Zion Ahadi Mediclinic in Butere and Oasis Doctors Plaza Kakamega Limited have been suspended.

Vihiga County saw the suspension of St. Mark Orthodox Hospital-Chavakali, while Busia County includes Tanaja Hospital Limited and Brimaxxa Hospital Limited.

Kajiado's Lemayian Hospital-Kitengela, Wajir’s Walalaha Nursing Home and New Manyalo Nursing Home, as well as Kisumu’s Nissi Medical Centre and Dawa Front Healthcare Services, were also suspended. 

In Kilifi County, Jambo Jipya Hospital-Mtwapa has been suspended.

In Mandera County, eight facilities have been suspended, including Al-Masry Nursing Home Limited, Rhamu Dimtu Medical Center, Balanga Medical Center Limited, and Care Connect Hospital.

Others are Al Shamsi Medical Centre Limited, Merti Nursing Home Limited, Zamzam Nursing Home Rhamu, and Nibil Nursing Home Limited. 

Kirinyaga County had one facility suspended, White Rose Medical Centre.
