Dennis Ombachi popularly known as the roaming chef has announced he will be partnering with the Chinese Embassy in Kenya for a food diplomacy gig slated for December 2, 2023.
In a statement via X on Thursday, November 23, Ombachi said the event will involve cultural exchange, culinary partnerships, and initiatives to foster global understanding through shared gastronomic experiences.
“I will be collaborating with the Chinese Embassy Kenya on food diplomacy involving cultural exchange, culinary partnerships & joint initiatives promoting global understanding through shared gastronomic experiences,” read the statement in part.
Ombachi also disclosed that he will be working with Chinese chef Lui Longfei in the Chinese Food Extravaganza event which will be held at Panari Hotel.
“Humbled by this opportunity to foster international relations between China and Kenya in appreciation of the diverse cuisines and culture,” Ombachi added.
