Three passengers have died on the spot following a tragic accident along Isinya- Kitengela Road.
The accident involved a matatu and a lorry in the Kisaju area.
According to a police report on the accident which occurred on Monday, January 8, the matatu driver's fault caused the accident that left several other passengers nursing serious injuries.
Preliminary police reports indicated that the driver of the matatu was overtaking a stalled lorry but lost control and hit the said lorry on the rear right.
Photos of the accident showed the matatu badly damaged especially the outer body.

However, residents rushed to the scene and helped rescue the survivors who were trapped in the wreckage and took them to the nearby hospitals.
"Due to the impact, two unknown female and one male adult passengers died on the spot while other passengers with injuries were rushed by good Samaritans to various hospitals," the National Police Service indicated.
Bodies of the deceased were moved to Shalom Hospital Mortuary.
By the time of this publication, the police were finishing up clearing the area to allow normal traffic flow.
In a separate incident, at least 16 people were injured after an accident on Monday, 1.15 am along the Narok-Bomet road.
NPS reported that a head-on collision between a matatu and a lorry resulted in 6 serious injuries and 10 slight ones.
