Suna East MP Junet Mohamed's goose in the ODM party could be cooked as reports emerge that the once vocal lawmaker might be ejected from the party.
According to the reports, the lawmaker, who had enjoyed privileges for being an immediate loyalist to the party leader Raila Odinga, was served with a show-cause letter seeking an explanation on why he was not party to the activities of not only ODM but the larger Azimio La Umoja coalition.
Failure to which he would risk losing his posts; he is the Minority whip in the National Assembly, Azimio La Umoja secretary general and ODM's director of campaigns and parliamentary affairs.
The party said Junet's non-involvement in party activities threatened its objectives and agenda.

However, responding to the matter, the Suna East MP accused unnamed quarters within the opposition outfit of seeking to settle political scores with him.
The argument was corroborated by Caleb Amisi, Saboti MP who is vocal on the party matters and generally other issues of national importance.
According to Amisi, who was elected for a second term on the ODM ticket, Junet has sacrificed much for Raila's political well-being, arguing that forces within the party want to trouble him (Junet).
According to the lawmaker, Junet was being sacrificed for the wrongs he has no hand in.
"Whoever is sponsoring such nonsense is unfair to the party and is not a leader but a goon. The work Junet Mohamed did for Baba (Raila) very few can do. If you are a top leader who served with Junet and you believe he spoiled campaigns as you watched, why didn't you raise the matter then? Why now? If we are cleaning the Raila team, then it must be the entire team of lazy men and women who think power is given. You were all supposed to help him win. You all failed. Stop sacrificing Junet or tell us which mistake he made," he said.
Kileleshwa MP Robert Alaio also says the tribulations faced by Junet are being engineered by dishonest quarters within the party.
He linked the foregoing with Kenya Kwanza; and warned they would not succeed in bringing down the presumed bonafide members of the party.
"Kenya Kwanza agents in ODM have started their schemes with their "show-cause " letters. Hey, agents of Kenya Kwanza, this is ODM. You are yet to get the baptism by fire. Don't underrate ODM, please," Alai said.
The party is yet to comment on the matter publicly.
