The man is said to have allegedly used the pullover he was in to commit suicide.
Confirming the incident was Kikuyu police commander Ronald Kirui, who called for calmness among the members of the public and the bereaved family as the police expedited investigations.
The police boss confirmed that the officers who were on duty the fateful evening had been interrogated and that the body lying at the City Mortuary would be subjected to an autopsy to establish the cause of death.
"We have already recorded statements from the officers on duty and the family. A post-mortem will be carried out to find out the cause of the death. I therefore urge the parents and community to be patient as we wait for the investigations to conclude," said Kirui.
