The wife of a slain Indian businessman Jayesh Kumar has reportedly confessed to hiring men to discipline her husband who was found dead and body doused in acid.
The new revelation came after she was arrested and arraigned at Kibera Law Courts on Thursday, February 22.
Her arrest was informed by investigations which established that she was in contact with one of the other four suspects in police custody, on the day her husband was killed and his body doused in acid.
"She is alleged to have been involved in the murder plot after phone analysis revealed that she was in contact with one of the four suspects who were arrested and arraigned at Kibera Law Courts on February 19th,” said Irene Magistrate Kahuya.

“She is reported to have asked the suspect to help discipline and torture her husband as the two had disagreements ... The other suspect agreed and recruited others to execute the plan.”
The wife was however not charged as the prosecution requested 21 days to detain her to complete investigations. The court granted the prosecution 14 days to hold her in police custody.
Kumar was reported missing on Valentine's Day. Later, detectives traced a CCTV footage that showed him together with his wife escorting their kid to school.
However, that was the last time he was seen alive as detectives recovered remains believed to of the said businessman in Machakos.
Reports alleged that the wife wanted the four suspects to discipline the husband over a domestic wrangle but later learned that they had disobeyed her directive and murdered him.
Police are yet to conduct DNA tests on the bones that were recovered from the scene of the crime believed to be those of Kumar.
Also, detectives are expected to produce the text messages reportedly exchanged between the lady and one of the suspects which they believe will help in prosecuting the case.
