Ndii termed the ongoing discourse on his weight as a misplaced priority indicating that it was a tragedy for people to focus on things that do not matter.
"To be overweight is a remediable personal challenge of little or no consequence to the general public. To be empty-headed is an incurable societal burden," Ndii stated.
"To have so many people with nothing better to talk on a public platform is a national tragedy," he added.
Mutahi Ngunyi also defended Ndii indicating that the good meal served at State House was the cause of massive weight gain.
"Leave David Ndii alone. It is the lamb chops at State House and a good appetite. My tummy was bigger when I was a resident there! And we had a bar."
Miguna Miguna also questioned what happened to President Ruto's Economic Advisor sparking further debate on his weight.
However, Ndii has shut down the critics insisting that his weight is non-consequential.
