The family of former Information Communication Technology (ICT) Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru is mourning their fallen matriarch.
Mucheru announced his mother's demise via X, formerly Twitter, without delving into much detail.
"Goodbye, mum. We miss you, Madam!" he wrote.
A host of Kenyans commiserated with the bereaved family following the sad news.
Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo said; "Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to you and your family Waziri. May our Lord God rest her soul in eternal peace."

"Pole sana waziri," said Dr Ouma Oluga.
"Pole sana Boss … may God comfort your family," said Ray Ochieng.
"My heartfelt condolences to you and the entire family," said Cynthia Mwangi.
Mucheru's mother's death came months after that of his younger sister.
Njeri Rionge, a renowned tech geek, died in October 2023.
"Goodbye Njeri. We will miss you greatly," Mucheru mourned.
As earlier hinted, Mucheru served in former president Uhuru Kenyatta's regime.
After the lapse of Uhuru's tenure in 2022, the former ICT CS was appointed global president of London-based Jumo in January 2023.
Jumo, a fintech company, provides digital financial services such as loans, savings, and insurance products to emerging markets.
Confirming the news via his LinkedIn profile, Mucheru said he would help the company achieve its growth targets.
“I am hugely excited to be joining a business that is helping capital providers make attractive returns at the same time as supporting measurable impact. I look forward to working with Andrew and the team,” he stated.
