Kuria's outburst came after Gachagua decried intimidation of his allies.

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has sustained his bad blood with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who he now ranks in the low.

Kuria is among the loyalists of President William Ruto who have publicly differed with Gachagua.

The deputy president's naysayers accuse him of playing tribal politics by advancing Mt Kenya unity and the one-man, one-vote, one-shilling narrative.

In his latest attack via the X platform, Kuria seemed to question the deputy president's capacity to hold the post.

Gachagua's position as the second in command notwithstanding, Kuria said he (Gachagua) had failed in all the important aspects compared with his peers.

"He became a District Officer for two decades without a single promotion. His classmates and juniors have grown from strength to strength in position, stature, and exposure. From being a DO he graduated into a PA," CS Kuria sensationally claimed.

The CS's outburst came moments after Gachagua had decried intimidation by unnamed people.

Speaking in Ruiru at a church function in Ruiru, the deputy president revealed that those allied to him were being pursued for their stance.

"Some leaders are being intimidated, coerced, and threatened. They are being told that if they call for unity, they won't get projects, that if they are seen with me, things will be very bad for them," said Gachagua.

He vowed to continue with his agenda regardless of the opposition from his naysayers.

According to him, a united Mt Kenya will have the power to bargain and negotiate with other united regions.

Meanwhile, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who was in the same function, said the opposition would cushion the deputy president against any attempt of impeachment.

"This is my first time to sit next to Deputy President Rigathi. I admire your ability to fight.

To those DISHONOURABLE MPS, I say this: if you try to bring an Impeachment Motion against Rigathi, Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leadership and Honourable Members will Vote No!" said Kalonzo.
